Schools out! Yeah--time for pajamas till noon and movies all day---well, maybe tommorrow! So far our summer 2008 key word is "busy!"
Since everyone is home -we make more messes, therefore more chores every morning--we have been doing chores till about 11am every day, have lunch followed by a fun afternoon. So far we've been to the park, pool, water park, library, bowling, pizza, zoo, movies--or, of course, I trick them into doing another chore by telling them they can wash the cars! (yes, it IS fun to wash the cars in hot Texas weather!)
10 days till we leave on vacation to Independence Missourri and Nauvoo Illinois. This will be the first real test run in our new Toyota Sienna -we'll see how it handles a family road trip! We are looking for a car-top storage box and portable DVD player to help match the travel comfort of the Suburban. Dony has been busy with Saturday weddings lately, so it will be great to be all together!
